Job Seekers - Veterans Services
Each Jobs ETC office have veteran staff members specifically assigned to help U.S. military veterans and other eligible persons. This can be employment referrals, counseling and job/career training services. Disabled veterans and veterans of military service are given preference over non-veterans in the provision of services available at the Jobs ETC. Veterans are assessed to determine their “level of need” and then are referred to the appropriate agency or service provider.
An
eligible veteran is any person who served on active duty for a
period of more than 180 days beyond training and was discharged or
released with other than a dishonorable discharge, or was discharged
or released from active duty with a service-connected disability, or
as a member of a reserve component under an order to active duty, or
served on active duty during a period or war or a campaign or
expedition for which a campaign badge is authorized, or was
discharged or released from such duty with other than a dishonorable
discharge. There is no time limit to receive veteran’s employment
benefits; however, certain other veteran’s benefits (education,
G.I. Bill, health care, and others) are time limited.
